New York, NY — January 18, 2006 Education and training professionals seeking to master the unique skills required to teach “Live Online”, may now take advantage of an intensive 6-week program culminating in a LearningTimes Certification as a Synchronous Training Professional (CSTP™). This CSTP™ program, entitled “Producing Professional Live Online Programs” is one of four online programs announced today by LearningTimes, LLC, a leading provider of online communities, conferences, webcasts and events for education, training, collaboration and networking. For more information and registration visit: http://www.learningtimes.net/cert.

The new schedule introduced today includes two new introductory courses for professionals interested in honing their interactive webcast facilitation skills or learning to build online communities.

“Our spring catalog integrates ideas from dozens of our successful CSTP graduates. We’ve condensed the courses and focused on individual skills,” said Jonathan Finkelstein, Executive Producer of LearningTimes. “In reformatting the spring programs, we’ve also reduced the cost of enrollment significantly, ensuring that LearningTimes CSTP is a very cost effective way to advance one's professional development.”

The LearningTimes Certified Synchronous Training and Community Professional programs are comprised of four main courses including:

  • Leading Effective Live Online Events
Students learn and practice effective, practical and creative techniques for the live online environment, and create, present and record an interactive webcast or collaborative meeting. This workshop takes place over 4 weeks, and includes 4 live instructional webcasts; small group sessions, a dress rehearsal, and a student presentation. Price: $295

  • Producing Professional Live Online Programs
This 6 week workshop delivers a practical experience, taking students through every aspect of producing a successful interactive webcast, culminating with a live event. Students learn to create and oversee an event designed to teach a class, deliver information, promote a product, or foster collaboration among a specific group of up to 250 participants. Price: $895

  • Starting an Online Community
This is a very practical, hands-on program focused on the initial set-up, marketing and ongoing operations of an online community. During the 4 week program, students will have access to a live working online community. After each live instructional session, a series of real-world exercises will help learners hone the essentials of developing community online. Participants complete each task, as well as provide a peer review of others' work. Price: $195

  • Building Communities that Thrive
LearningTimes instructional staff and Certified "LearningTimes Mayors" lead participants through best practices for creating vibrant collaborative online environments that support institutions, organizations, or affinity groups. Over the course of the 6 week program, students design, and begin to implement a specialized “Community Development Master Plan” applicable to their own organization’s goals. Price: $795.
