  • Dr. Marc Brackett, Yale University Research Scientist, will share how fostering emotionally literate classrooms, courses and work environments can improve instructional outcomes.
  • Nancy White, an internationally recognized online interaction designer, leads a provocative talk on whether the idea of using the social structure of "community" for learning really belongs at center stage, where so many have been placing it.
  • Anita Crawley, an instructor with the Illinois Online Network, will facilitate a lively discussion on "Retaining Online Students" and helping learners online make connections outside the virtual classroom.
