LearningTimes and the Association of Virtual worlds announce a ground-breaking two-day 3D Online Conference: "3D Immersive: The Next Dimension in 21st Century Enterprise".
New York, NY – (September 7, 2010) - LearningTimes, the global leader in webcasting and online learning solutions, today announced, along with the Association of Virtual worlds, a ground-breaking two day 3D Online Conference: 3D Immersive: The Next Dimension in 21st Century Enterprise scheduled for November 10, 2010 (with pre-conference workshops on November 9, 2010).

Top speakers from around the globe will be exploring the state of the art in the use of 3D immersive technology. The virtual event includes a live keynote on 3D technologies in entertainment and its role in changing the face of 3d worlds, delivered by Neil Feldman, CEO of In-Three.

“3D technology is emerging from the realm of early adopters and is moving into the mainstream,” notes Edita Kaye, Founder of the Association of Virtual Worlds. “That’s why this conference is so important at this time.”

John Walber, CEO of LearningTimes, emphasizes the convenience of participating in the event in its online format. “Unlike a traditional in-person conference, our online event allows participants to attend without leaving their homes or offices and experience firsthand the benefits of zero travel costs, improved productivity, networking, collaboration and so much more.”

The online conference will include:

  • Sessions exploring the use of 3D in areas such as film, education, marketing, employee training and development, government and the military.
  • Two preconference seminars, one focusing on the impact and use of 3D in publishing, and one covering 3D photography and video.
  • A 3D Immersive exhibit hall using a fully browser-based virtual environment, in which participants will be able to visit with and learn from companies offering 3D services and products.

3D GlobeBeyond web pages, beyond social networking, the next level of engagement with customers, students and clients is 3D. As processing power and bandwidth increase, companies and organizations are increasingly able to utilize an exciting array of 3D technologies to build sales, increase engagement and expand their outreach. The conference offers attendees the opportunity to learn from leaders in the 3D field, and hear first-hand how they are using 3D technologies in their work.
