HHLib9: Encouraging Innovation and Technology, the top online tech conference for librarians, will feature inspiration and how to’s. Take part in sessions that share the wide range of insights and experiences that come with implementing technologies and programs to meet the needs of library users.

February 26-27, 2014

Handheld Librarian 9 is an online conference focused on first-hand librarian accounts of lessons learned in the delivery and operation of mobile experiences. These interactive case studies address project delivery, experience design, content production, technology solutions and operational requirements. The expressed aim of the event is that conference delegates leave with clear and actionable guidelines that will help them successfully and efficiently deliver mobile projects at their institutions.

In addition to a featured keynote presentation on meaningful gamification by Scott Nicholson of Syracuse University’s School of Information Studies and the Because Play Matters Game Lab, the HHLib9 conference will offer presentations on the following range of topics:

  • Try Before You Buy: Beta Technology in Public Libraries
  • Using Augmented Reality in Information Retrieval
  • Social Georeferencing – A Model for Libraries
  • Creating An Infographic Contest at Your Library
  • Put a Badge on it! Badging and Professional Development
  • …and more being announced here and @HHLib9
